Hello and welcome to our
website. My name is Christine Mould and I originally became involved with boxers when my
husband decided that we 'needed' one in our lives and it just so happened that he knew
someone who was emigrating and looking to re-home a red and white dog. Bringing
'Mac' home was an eye opener, a huge big slobbery boxer hanging over my shoulder
wasn't the ideal family pet I had imagined ! However, his true boxer nature came through
and he became a huge part of our family.
Mac was bred by Lesley
Boyle from the Camsail kennels and combined some of the highest rated Camsail / Braxburn /
Marbelton lines behind him. We had acquired a beautifully bred male, who was the
foundation behind the Mobox genes today.
Several years have passed
and as a strong believer in quality not quantity, our dogs were bred for companionship and never
for financial gain. From the very few litters we have had, we have been extremely lucky to
have produced some lovely dogs - both in and out of the ring. Without shadow of a doubt
our most successful litter included litter brother and sister Zac and Zoe. Both enjoyed
phenomenal success in the ring, especially Zac who later became Champion Mobox Sheer Genius,
winner of his Junior Warrant, 5 CC's (from both UK Breed and International Breed Specialists), 3
RCC's (including Crufts) and also a Championship Show Group winner (before the split of the
Working and Pastoral Breeds) and innumerable Best in Shows.
I have judged both the
working and pastoral breeds at Open Shows in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales and have
also served on both Tyne Wear and Tees Boxer club and also all breed committees. I am
currently a member of The Northern Newfoundland Club and the Newfoundland Club.
Because of my own ill
health I am unable to continue showing myself, however, all of the leads have now been handed
over to Michelle who has joined the Mobox name and with whom the name shall continue.
Whilst ill health will not allow me to show, I am extremely proud of the success of both
Cooper and Zac and am happy to be part of their continued success.
After much soul searching
I have decided not to continue with my involvement within the boxers, I have no desire to
be involved within a breed which is as bitter as it is, where money is more important than the
love of the breed. Whilst this is not a statement of all boxer breeders, it is becoming
the norm and I applaud breeders who continue to strive to improve this wonderful breed, and who
do so with health in mind and body at the heart of their breeding programmes.
At home, I still proudly
own 2 boxers and these will remain with me for the entire life. I have not, and will
never, rehome a dog, my dogs are a huge part of the family.
As a part-owner of
both Zac and Cooper I am honored to be named on such wonderful dogs. I must congratulate
Michelle and her fiancee Phil who the boys live with - it is through their own hard work and
energy that they are in fantastic condition and are always presented beautifully.
